HRH Roadtrip XI Ibiza Returns in 2021 With New Stage Featuring The Dirty Dozen – A Showcase of Talent Second To None

20th May 2020 0 By John Deaux

For the first-ever time, HRH Roadtrip Ibiza is opening up a second stage – The Dirty Dozen Stage – to showcase 3 bands each night from Wednesday to Saturday.  With many of the bands put forward by Hard Rock Hell Radio presenters – who had the brief of selecting bands that truly own the stage – the room promises to be simply incredible!

A huge opportunity for fans to discover the very latest that British rock and metal have to offer, it coincides with the expansion of the event having been forced into a fallow year in 2020.

Joining main-stage headliners LA GunsReef and Skindred, are Joe Lynn Turner, Jizzy Pearl’s Love/Hate, John Coghlans Quo, Seething Akira, Wayward Sons, Wildheart, Ten Years After, Witch Tripper, Midnite City, Massive, Gin Annie, Bearfist and Red Rum.

The Dirty Dozen are RXPTRS, Kaluss, Obzidian, Liberty Lies, Novacrow, Twister, King Kraken, The Howling Tides, Secrets of Mariana, Kill the Ideal, Straight for the Sun and Black Tree Vultures.

Welsh legends Skindred will bring their unique take on ‘ragga punk metal’ to the island – with the ‘Newport Helicopter’ heading for the annual HRH Roadtrip for the first time since 2015.  Benji and the guys have grown in stature even since then, with the release of their 7th album Big Tings in 2018.
This will be an incendiary set that anyone there will remember forever!

Reef achieved huge success in 1997 with hits such as ‘Place Your Hands’ and ‘Consideration’ – which set them up for a career which continues to this day – including headlining the prestigious Avalon Stage at Glastonbury last year.

We are privileged they can do the same for us in Ibiza!  They certainly gave Hard Rock Hell XIII a ‘Glow’ back in November so we can’t wait to have them back for Roadtrip XI in 2021!

L.A. Guns, featuring original members Tracii Guns and Phil Lewis, blew the roofs off at HRH AOR V and HRH Sleaze II so it’s about time they had the chance to do it again in Ibiza! Everyone knows by now the key part these guys had in the rock scene of Hollywood back in the mid-80s, and they still play with a hunger that goes down brilliantly with the HRH faithful.

Rainbow, Deep Purple, Yngwie Malmsteen and Sunstorm are just a selection of bands (plus a list of guest appearances and solo releases as long as War and Peace) that the evergreen Joe Lynn Turner has been involved with since his professional debut with Fandango on RCA Records in 1977.  Best known of course for delivering the timeless Russ Ballard classic ‘I Surrender’ on Rainbow’s Difficult to cure album in 1981, Joe will join up with the HRH family once more for RoadTrip XI in May 2021.

Talking of legends, John Coghlan’s Quo will have everyone in Ibiza dancing to timeless classics such as ‘Caroline’, ‘Rain’ and ‘Down Down’ – once more proving why he’s still ‘Rockin All Over the World’.  This promises to be one of the sets of the week-long event!

Jizzy Pearl’s Love/Hate are no strangers to HRH.  Jizzy has fronted not only Love’Hate in his 30+ year career but also LA Guns, Adlers Appetite and Quiet Riot. Noted for his incendiary live performances which are still as intense as the days of the Whisky a Go Go.

Aussies Massive are riding a wave on the back of their latest album “Rebuild Destroy’ which came out earlier this year on HRH sister label Off Yer Rocka. Massive rarely stop touring and HRH Roadtrip XI will be the latest adventure for the boys from Melbourne.

The line-up so far for HRH Roadtrip XI – 2021 is therefore : LA Guns, Reef, Skindred, Joe Lynn Turner, Jizzy Pearl’s Love/Hate, John Coghlans Quo, Seething Akira, Wayward Sons, Wildheart, Ten Years After, Witch Tripper, Midnite City, Massive, Gin Annie, Bearfist, Red Rum, RXPTRS, Kaluss, Obzidian, Liberty Lies, Novacrow, Twister, King Kraken, The Howling Tides, Secrets of Mariana, Kill The Ideal, Straight for the Sun and Black Tree Vultures.
