Hypocrisy are back with their soon to be released 12th studio album 'End of Disclosure'. Ever the experimental genius that is Peter Tägtgren, this album is still as dark as the earlier Hypocrisy releases but there has been an added element of meldic death metal to the brutality to form a fine blend of music that is an absolute pleasure to listen to.
The album open ups with the title track End of Disclosure (the video of which can be found at the bottom of this review) which sets the stage for the rest of the album. The band is currently a 3 piece comprising of said Mr Tägtgren on vocals and guitar, Mikael Hedlund on bass and former Immortal member Horgh on drums – the band are really tight knit and the musicianship is excellent throughout the album as is the composition of each song!
As it stands at the moment, any album by Hypocrisy is worthy of your time and money and that includes this masterpiece of melodic yet brutal hardhitting death metal. This album is not as brutal as the first albums but it is a mighty fine album and one that any fan of the genre should own.
