Primitiv – new single ‘Lords of Primitiv’ released
4th October 2014Mumbai based stone age metal band Primitiv have released their second single ‘Lords Of Primitiv‘. It’s another impressively heavy as fuck song and shows why these guys have already created a name for themselves on the Indian metal scene.
Bassist Riju Dasgupta says “It’s inspired heavily by post apocalyptic fiction. The whole concept is that man rediscovers the ways of gods and machines, in a world that’s been devastated by a nuclear holocaust.”

As well as featuring Riju (who also plays in my own personal favourites, Albatross), the band consists of Rajarshi Bhattacharya (guitars), Pushkar Joshi (drums), Nitin Rajan (vocals), Kiron Kumar (guitars), and Avirath Kadam (live guitars).
Primitiv will be playing at The Grand Mammoth Festival, Vashi on 4th October, and at the Metal At the Tavern festival in Hyderabad on 11th October.
