Queensryche – Live at The Ritz, Manchester

28th November 2013 0 By Suzie Rottencrotch

This tour for Queensryche was always about re-establishing themselves and recovering some of the sacred ground that’s been lost in a decade at least of mixed material much below par of what they are capable of. Eddie Jackson quoted recently that the re-incarnation without former lead singer Tate feels like a rebirth, and seeing them live tonight they actually look like they are enjoying it all again.

The set list has specifically been centered around the first five albums, both for stronger material and to show the fans where they know what they want, a few songs from the latest album are thrown in and the fit seamlessly into the set showing the strength of the new album. There are noticeable differences without Tate, the theatrics for one, and Todd la Torre is much more straight down to business with the Music,  but  playing eighteen songs of good material I guess doesn’t leave much time to waste……..
