Red Temple Pray Announce Debut Album

3rd January 2024 0 By Jon Deaux

Hard rock/ alternative outfit RED TEMPLE PRAY are preparing to release their debut full-length record. Delving into dark topics, the album explores everything from personal struggles and experiences to wider challenges facing us around the world. The new album, titled Can It Get Any Worse? will be released on February 9th, 2024.

Vocalist Josh Richter comments:

“Can It Get Any Worse? is not only our debut full length but to me personally my most proud work. There is so much heart and pain in this record. I have never been shy when it comes to expressing my feelings in my music but I think with this specific record and band I have allowed myself to be a little more honest than ever before. There is a lot of similar themes strung across the record, from falling in love to falling out of love, from death to sex, all of this, for me anyway, can all be filed under ‘This Is The End Of The World’. I have said it a million times before but I only write love songs. I’m a lush. I can’t help that.”

Kicking off the album with crashing cymbals, huge riffs, and lashings of distortion, “Big Panic” opens Can It Get Any Worse? with a bang. “Before The Bombs Go Off” delivers a dark and rhythmic sound while “Sirens” contains a dynamic combination of overdriven rockin’ riffs and acoustic guitars. Ballad-esque tracks “Heaven Like You” and “Over Effect” showcase a more emotive and raw side to RED TEMPLE PRAY through intricate melodies and powerful bursts of heavy distortion. Across the track list, RED TEMPLE PRAY unveils an array of catchy hooks, anthemic elements, and compelling vocal melodies in the likes of “Bottle Rocket”, the faster-paced “Where The Water Sheds”, and “Check The Kids”.

About RED TEMPLE PRAY:
Columbus Ohio’s RED TEMPLE PRAY is a hauntingly powerful alternative rock band that brings a truly unique twist to a timeless genre. With their melancholic pop hooks and riff-heavy sound, the band sonically captures the weight and mood that could only be described as “having a hangover on your deathbed”. The band emerged initially as a side project in 2015, before reaching their current and now-established line-up in 2021. 2022 saw the release of their debut EP Violently Lush, and now the quartet is preparing to unveil their first full-length record, Can It Get Any Worse?, on February 9th, 2024.
