Mike Tramp first found fame back in the 80’s with aor supreme band 'White Lion' having released four albums they split in 1991 and he went on to form the harder, rockier 'Freak Of Nature'. When Mike called time on 'Freak' in 1995 he went solo but then dipped his toes into past waters with a new 'White Lion' lineup and suffered legal repercussions as a result from mainly original lead guitarist Vito Bratta. All in All Mike Tramp’s had a rollercoaster of a ride in the rock scene and now presents us with an album he states he’s “only just got the guts to do and release”.

Cobblestone St is not a standard rock album, it’s a stripped down honest affair that takes you to down to memory lane with songs that deliver emotion and reflection to younger years. Even with ‘White Lion' and moreso on 'Freak of Nature’s' material there is something slightly disjointed to the songs, they are rough and slightly off kilt, and that is where the genius is. On this album it’s perfect to have that approach and the songs only revel in that brilliance.

From opener and title track “Cobblestone Street” you are taken on a journey that will embrace you with the music. Let’s be clear this isn’t just for rock fans it’s an album for people who love honest music. This will be on my top ten albums of 2013 I’m sure. Mike sings “This Ain’t The Life I Asked For I Know, But it’s all that I got “ and it seems that life should get sweeter as a result…………..
